Shakeila Nichole Needham was born in June 23, 1981 to the late Sheila Brown in Norfolk, Virginia. Shakeila, affectionately known by her family as “Keida”, grew up in Norfolk and graduated from Lake Taylor High School. Upon graduation, Keida worked for the Naval Station at the Norfolk Base Gallery. She went on to have two beautiful daughters, who she loved with her entire heart! She grew up in church and was raised to love the Lord! At the early age, Shakeila professed her faith in Jesus Christ and attended her family’s church, First Pentecostal United Holy Church. She loved talking about the goodness of Jesus to all she came in contact with. In recent years, Keida became an active member at The Bridge Family Faith Church, where she enjoyed serving, spending time with her spiritual family, and lifting up the Holy Name of Jesus! She was an amazing mother, niece, cousin, and friend. She will continue to live in our hearts forever. Carried on the wings of an angels, Shakeila left this world and claimed her crown on December 9, 2022. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of all who came to know her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sheila Brown; and grandparents: Tilmon Brown, Sr. and Pearline Brown. Keida is survived by her daughters: Breyonia Needham and Amaya Needham; aunt, Diane Herrien; uncles: Tilmon Brown, Jr. (Bessie), Jerome Brown (Faye), and Maurie Brown (Cynthia); first cousins: Jerome Brown, Jr., Vernesha Brown, Lakeisha Brown, Monica Brown, Tiffany Brown Montague, Brittany Herrien, Corey Brown, and Eric Herrien; and a host of other family and friends that will all miss her dearly.
