Deepest sympathy and prayers to the Gilchrist Family in the passing of your loved one. Sister Gilchrist was one of the nicest persons you would ever want to meet. As a Past Worthy Matron in the Order of the Eastern Star of VA, PHA; she will definitely be missed. In all the groups and organizations to which she belonged, Sister Gilchrist was so very dutiful. May she rest from her labor and her good deeds follow as family carry on her great legacy. She is loved by many.
May GOD bless you with peace, love, and comfort during this very difficult time. “To God be the Glory, honor, and praise for such a beautiful life, well lived.”

I was one of Ms. Gilchrist’s first-grade student at Butts Road. I remember her eating chips, the way should ate them made my day. My mouth would water!!😊 How she would flattering her fingers to dust off the crumbs. To this day I mimic that gesture. Now I work with children and some of the best teachers at Butts Roads Elementary back in the 70’s we’re my inspiration and role models. Rest in Peace Ms. Gilchrist
