Sandra Fae Harris

Sunrise: September 17, 1956

Sunset: March 15, 2021

Sandra Fae Harris was born on September 17, 1956 in Dallas, TX to Julius Minor and Ocie Louise Minor. She was laid to rest on March 15, 2021 but will always be remembered by the loved she continuously spread throughout her family, friends, and community. She is survived by her husband, Gerald; her mother, Ocie Louise Minor; her sisters, Deborah Minor (Michael), Barbara Cooperwood (Labaron), and Wanda Minor; 7 nieces and nephews; 13 great nieces and nephews and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Sandra attended North High School in Omaha, Nebraska and continued her education by attending Metro Tech Community College and receiving her bachelors in Child Development. Although she had no children, she was a mother to all by devoting 10+ years in early childhood education at Beanstalk Childcare Academy and contributing to the upbringing of her many nieces and nephews. Sandra was an artist that inspired many with her freestyle artwork, singing and playing piano. She loved to dance, and was the life of every family gathering. She often created beautiful murals which are found within the homes of her many family members. She also taught and encouraged the little ones to embrace their creative side. She believed that the true love of art is driven by a pencil and a thought. Not only did she put a lot of passion into her artwork, she was a chef who enjoyed sharing fresh, home-cooked meals with her family and friends. Her absolute favorite dish was beans and cornbread.

She was a brave soul who overcame many obstacles in her life. She lived her life by 1 Corinthian 16:14 which says “Let everything you do, be done in Love.”  At an early age; she dedicated her life to Jesus Christ and was baptized at Sharon Seventh Day Adventist Church in Omaha, Nebraska. She was a victorious woman who loved the Lord, studied the Bible, and opened her home to worship and bible study.

Sandra had a beautiful smile, a loving heart, and a creative spirit that will resonate with us all. She will be greatly missed by those who loved and admired her.
