I extend my condolences to Joan and Deborah in the loss of their dear mother whom I have known in my teens. I have talked to Sis. Deloatch as I called her on numerous times by phone and she was always pleasant and confident of her trust in the Lord. She would quote Scriptures, such as, The Lord is our refuge and strength and a very pleasant help in trouble; Wait on the Lord and be of good courage; The Lord is my rock and my fortress, and my deliverer; and Cast thy burden upon the Lord and He shall sustain thee. She has fought a good fight, has finished her race, and has kept the faith. Now, she awaits the call of the Life-giver, and she hopes to see all of us on that better day.

    Her Granddaughter says

My grandmother was the backbone of our family. We all had a different relationship with her but no matter what the situation was she was there for EVERYBODY when they needed her. She was who she was and everybody knew her as GRANNY. Each of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren carry a part of her in us in some kind of way. she will truly be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Ms. Deloatch. She was a former neighbor in Liberty Park. We also were former members of Enoch Baptist church. She was a pleasant woman and may she rest in paradise.
