Rudolph Lee Perkins affectionally called Rudy was called home to eternal rest on July 17, 2020. He was born on February 7, 1932 in South Norfolk, Virginia to the late Frank and Dora Perkins. Rudy graduated from St. Joseph’s High School and later attended the former Norfolk State College. He also served in the United States Army. He eventually retired as a Lumber Inspector with the Norfolk Naval base after over 30 years of service.
Rudy is predeceased by his parents Frank and Dora Perkins; two sisters Ruby P Godfrey and Rebecca Perkins; and brothers Frank Perkins, Russell Perkins, Zion Perkins, Harold Perkins, Eugene Perkins, Leon Perkins and Charles Perkins.
Rudy is survived by his loving devoted wife of 55 years Juanita Louise Perkins, three sons, Rudolph Jr (Susan), Reginald (Nannette) and Ronald (Alyce). Four loving daughters Tracie, Bonita, Valerie and Lynne. He also adored his four goddaughters Antoinette Scott, Janice Clarke (Christopher), Michelle Lattimer (Chuck) and Cherri Brown (Billy). Rudy also leaves us to treasure his 33 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his 2 youngest brother Elmo Perkins and Ralph Perkins (Linda) and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mr Perkins was funny and always nice to my brother William and I as we spent many days at the Perkins house.
