Rosetta Cuffee

On March 18, 2019, God sent His angels down and called Rosetta Cuffee home. Rosetta was born December 9, 1926 in Princess Anne County, VA. She was the first born child of Louise and Benjamin Knight. Rosetta professed her belief in Christ and was a member
of The Church of The Lord Jesus Christ for 61 years, where she was a member of the  postles’ Aides. Rosetta was educated in the Virginia Beach Public School System. She was joined in marriage to John C. Cuffee in 1948. She took pleasure in sewing and cooking. Rosetta was known for her homemade rolls. She was always “Dressed to Impress”.

Her husband, John C. Cuffee and her oldest son, Kelly Knight preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her life; sister, Julia Knight of Norfolk, VA; ten children, Rev. Elbert T. Knight (Alfreda) of Virginia Beach, VA, Garfield Knight (Lillian) of Norfolk, VA, Doris Hunt (Willie Roy) of Philadelphia, PA, Robert Cuffee of Norfolk, VA, Brenda Hopkins (James) of Virginia Beach, VA, Lenora Hunt (Andrew-deceased) of Philadelphia, PA, Wynell Cuffee (Portia-deceased) of Norfolk, VA, Alvin Cuffee Sr. of Portsmouth, VA, Doleta Lloyd (Dennis) of Chesapeake, VA, LaVonna May (Rodney) of Philadelphia, PA, Albert Perry of Virginia Beach, VA and Martha Holmes of Virginia Beach, VA; thirty four grandchildren and a host of great grand, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.

    Rose was part of our lives many years ago. She was a kind and caring soul who helped us during a challenging time while we were raising our young family. We will always be grateful and will forever remember her fondly.

    My condolences to the family. Mother Cuffee was a wonderful kind and loving and most of all a saved women. She gets the best dress award. It’s a great honor to have known her, she was one of the best. She had a good Heart. We shall see her again. My prayers are with the family.

    Our beloved Mother Cuffee….My sincere condolences to the entire Cuffee family. Our hearts break with the news of this great loss. Your mother was a true reflection of Gods love. She was always kind and gentle. I am blessed to have been in her favor and to witness her warm and beautiful spirit as it touched my life and so many others. We always greeted one another with a gentle embrace and tender hello. Her beautiful spirit is implanted in each one of you that I have met in my life. You all are kind, gracious, gentle.
