Rose Mary Roper, age 71, of Virginia Beach, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and close friends on March 12, 2022. She was born in Ripley County, Indiana on July 21, 1950, the daughter of Estol and Betty Neahousmeyer.
Rose was a colorful person loved by many. She holds a special place in the hearts of those she left behind. She is going to be dearly missed by her children: Wendy Settlage, Jason (Frances) Martin and Melissa Butts; her sisters: Grace (Jerry) Hinkens, Barbara Neahousmeyer and Patty Herd; her grandchildren: Brandon Martin, Kaleb Anderson, Evie Grace, Alexandria Butts and Mary Lee Butts; and her great grandchildren: Logan Martin, Jaxson Martin and Jason Ward; along with multiple nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Eddie Neahousmeyer and William (Cindy) Lewis.
