Rosalind D. Greene-Price

Sunrise: November 25, 1964

Sunset: September 4, 2024

Rosalind Diane Greene-Price, affectionately known to her family as Deanie and to friends as Roz, was born in Norfolk, VA, on November 25, 1964, to Estdell Greene Brown and the late James Brodie Sr. She peacefully departed this earthly life on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. She is survived by her devoted husband of 25 years, Shelton Price Sr., and her two children, Ray’ven Hudley and Shelton “PJ” Price Jr.

Rosalind was raised in Norfolk and graduated from Maury High School in 1983. In 1992, she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology from Norfolk State University, and in 2007, she received her Master of Science Degree in Organizational Management from Capella University.

After over 30 years working for the Veteran’s Administration as a Kinesio Therapist and Functional Independence Measurement Coordinator, she retired in 2020. After retirement, she taught ESL (English as a second language), where she enjoyed her conversations with people from different countries who wanted to improve their English-speaking skills.

Rosalind has always been an outgoing and caring person. She expressed herself in her relationships, in her work, in her singing, and in her charitable endeavors. As an adult, she formed a deep relationship with Christ and dedicated much of her efforts to witness the glory and healing that He had on her life. She was a member of the COC of Fayetteville, Downtown COC in Norfolk, and Harvest COC of Virginia Beach. She used her organization, In Him-Forever Inc., to share her faith by becoming a Motivational Speaker, Talk Show Facilitator, Teacher, and Fundraiser.  She hosted events such as RealTalk and Annual Women of Excellence Symposiums to motivate women through their life struggles. She was also the Vendor Coordinator for the annual COC Ladies Lectureship Retreat since 2013, where up to 2000 women came together to fellowship in Christ. She was also involved in the Ministers, Wives Association.

Rosalind loved to sing and listen to gospel music and sang lead soprano with the Country Club Choral Ensemble. She also loved to travel and spent much of her time after retirement traveling with her husband.

Rosalind was preceded in death by her father, James Brodie Sr., her grandparents, James and Catherine Greene, her aunts, Mildred Greene Slade, France Greene Self, and Joyce Greene Keyes,  and her uncle, Edward Greene, as well as several cousins.

She leaves to cherish the memories of everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Shelton Price Sr. and son, Shelton Price Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA; her daughter, Ray’ven; her mother Estdell Greene Brown of Chesapeake, VA and her three brothers, Calvin Mackey Sr. (Stephanie) and Maurice Greene of Chesapeake, VA and James Brodie Jr. (Antionette) of Portsmouth, VA; her stepmother Jackie Brodie of Portsmouth, VA; her friends Lori Washington of Maryland and Rosalind Willams (James) of Fayetteville, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
