Rosa Lee Hall Willie of 1709 Chestwood Drive, Virginia Beach, Virginia slipped quietly away into her Father’s arms to eternal rest on Sunday, January 28, 2024.  Rosa Lee, as she was affectionately called by family and close friends, was born in St. Petersburg, Florida on June 6, 1944.  She was the only child of Johnnie Lee and Edith Hall.

Rosa was baptized as a youth in the Baptist faith.  As recently as 2 weeks ago, Sister Rosa Lee rededicated her life to Christ.

Rosa Lee married Robert Lee Willie on August 4, 1979.  Together they reared and raised 6 children.  Rosa Lee was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She attended Adult Learning Center and attained her GED and Certification in Data Entry.  She also worked as a Home Health Aide for many years for the Thalhimers’ family.

Sister Rosa Lee Willie was a dedicated member of the United House of Prayer for all People, Senior Queens Auxiliary for over 40 years until she could not serve any longer due to her health.  She continued to make calls and check on the members and they checked in often on her.

Rosa Lee loved to sing and she could sing.  She loved her husband and enjoyed being a stay-at-home wife.  She made sure he had the best of everything and wanted for nothing.

Rosa Lee Willie is survived by her loving husband, Robert Lee Willie.  Children, Demetria (Dee Dee), Johnson, (Alonzo), Newport News, VA; Terry Harris, Virginia Beach, VA; Iretta Harris, Virginia Beach, VA (Rudolph Lester, Special Friend); Yvette Kearney (Carlos), Norfolk, VA, and Stephanie Hill (Latoya); Castle Rock, CO.

Rosa Lee was predeceased by her parents, Johnnie Lee and Edith Hall, and her son, Willie Harris.

She leaves to cherish her memories 10 grandchildren: Corey Harris, (Clarissa) Smyra, TN; Jerell Hassell, (Candis), Virginia Beach, VA; Crystal Breakfield, Yorktown, VA; Kristie Breakfield, Norfolk, VA; Dennis Breakfield (Sharonda), Richmond, VA; Chavon Leaks, Virginia Beach, VA; Christopher Battle, Virginia Beach, VA; Stephen Battle, Virginia Beach, VA; Demetria Story, Atlanta, GA and Davian Story (Tyaisha), Tacoma, WA and 25 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and special girlfriends, Rita Callahan, Carolyn Simmons, Saundra Bethea-Pegues, and Mitzi Fields.
