Rosa Lee Clemons

Rosa Lee Clemons departed her life Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Sentara Leigh Hospital. Rosa was born June 15, 1941, to the late Roy Clemons, Sr. and Carrie Reaves Clemons. Rosa attended Pitt County Training School, and upon completion of school, Rosa moved to Norfolk, VA. At an early age, she gained employment at Lake Taylor City Hospital as a CNA-1, then CNA 2. From there, she gained her license as an LPN; Rosa worked for over 25 years in the medical field. Rosa was a lovely mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She proceeded in death by her life partner, McClenny Davis, and one son, Darryl Lee Clemons, two sisters, Martha Lee Clemons Boyd and Bettie Sue Clemons Laughinghouse, two brothers, Roy Clemons, Jr., and Johnny Roosevelt Clemons. Left to cherish her memory Jeffrey Clemons (Helen) of Greenville, NC, Kirk Clemons of Norfolk, VA; one stepdaughter, Wanda Ricks of Newport News, VA; three granddaughters, Brittley Batey, Chelsea Clemons, and Jasmine Clemons, and nine great-grandchildren, N’dian Batey, Isiah Clemons, M’laysia Clemons, King Gibbs, Chance Herndon, Jayonni Clemons Saunders, Jesiah Saunders, Jourmei Saunders, and Onyx Clemons. Also left to cherish in memory, Hattie Parker (Richard) of Mary Esther, FL, her first cousin, was raised with her like a sister, and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Special thanks to Diamond Cooper for being there in time of need for our family.
