Charon and the Chapman family I have seen the love you have shown to your father. Mr. Ronnie was so proud to be called Dad and Grandaddy he didnโ€™t want for anything . we enjoyed the beautiful Gatherings for no special occasion going out with your Father and family. The life I have seen Mr. Ronnie Live goes like this ,Romans chapter 8 Versus 38 and 39 King James version. For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life ,nor angel, nor principalities, nor power, nor things present ,nor things to come, nor Heights, nor any other creatures should be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Praying๐Ÿ™ with you.

My sincere condolences to the family of Ronnie Chapman. I can go back many years in remembering Ronnie. He was one of the participants who visited the Berkley Recreation Center daily, he was a pleasure to be around, He kept up laughing all the time.
Not only was Ronnie a fun person to be around, he was a person who cared for others, by feeding the neighborhood, and what ever he could do to help, that was his gift to God. May you rest in peace.

Deacon Ronnie Dee Chapman was born to the late James Willie and Flossie Lee Chapman, a Mechanic and a Dietary Aide, in Norfolk, VA on November 23, 1957. He was immersed in a Christian upbringing that would be his lifelong support from an early age.

Ronnie graduated from Lake Taylor High School in Norfolk, VA and soon after accepted a position as a painter at the Ford Automotive Plant. Thereafter, he followed his own path of entrepreneurship to include Chapmanโ€™s Towing and Auto Body Repair, Southside General Hauling Dump Trucks, Southside Confectionary Store in his hometown neighborhood of Berkley; In addition to R.C. Soul Food and Catering where he spent his latter years as a restaurateur and chef.

Ronnie took pride in raising his children. He led with patience, honesty, discipline and humility. Ronnie spoiled them immensely, he never said the word โ€œNo.โ€ He was kind, outgoing, and a true jokester that always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how small.

Ronnie never met a stranger. Ronnie would give you the shirt off of his back; he had a huge heart and loved to serve. As evidenced by his accomplishments of becoming an ordained Deacon at his home church of Welcome Temple Community and serving on the Advisory Board of his apartment community. Even when his health began to decline, he continued to loan money, buy gifts, cook meals, and provide to others.

Ronnie absolutely loved and believed in God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit. He returned back to his roots and recommitted his life to Christ over ten years ago. Thereโ€™s no doubt that he has gained his wings, he is wearing his crown with our father in Heaven.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his Brothers; Joseph, James Earl, one Sister Doris Rae Chapman, and four Nephew/Brothers: Charlie D. Chapman Sr., Bruce Chapman, Clarence Dawson, and Eugene Chapman as well his parents.

Ronnie is survived by his Ex-Wife and Best Friend Sabrina Chapman, two Daughters; Shivone Fogle (Richard), Shiron Johnson (Reginald Sr.), Son Willie Nichols, and Godson Andres Brown. In addition, five grandchildren: Monzavaz Turner, Ahmeir and Amharie Faulk, as well as Rejae and Reginald Johnson Jr.

Ronnie also leaves behind to cherish his memory his brother, Dallas B. Chapman Sr. (Henrietta), Nephew Gregory Chapman (Darlene), Last Surviving Maternal Aunt Frances Diaz and a host of other relatives, loved ones, and friends to include: Andrea Creecy, and Sheila Boney who assisted him with his health care needs until the end.

Ronnie Chapman, was one of a kind; he will be sincerely missed by all that knew him.
