Ronald Lee Smith, “Ron”, was born on September 17, 1952 to the late Cleotha Smith and Mary Jackson in Norfolk, Virginia. He was a graduate of Matthew Fontaine Maury High School. He was also a retired veteran from the United States Air Force. After retiring from the Air Force, Ronald drove trucks from coast to coast, then locally. He later obtained employment through the Navy Exchange. He was a previous employee for Chesapeake Square Mall. Ronald was currently enrolled in Tidewater community College, where he recently received his ASE license. Ronald was always willing to help another in need and was well respected in his community.
He leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, LaTonya Dale-Williams; and very special son-in-law, Ulyses Williams; four grandchildren, Anthony Sr., (Ternisha), Shaquria (Kareema), Erika Johnson of Norfolk, Virginia and Ernest Johnson, Jr. of
Columbia, South Carolina; eight great grandchildren, Rayquan, Jermaine, Taniyah, Richelle, Terrin, Anthony, Jr., Annika and Kaiden; and two lifelong friends, Ada (Kitty) and Raymond Atkinson, other relatives and friends
