Ronald Lee Lewis

He was a man of modest means, but he had a heart of gold. He brought joy and laughter to his family and friends. He was a loving brother and father.  People know him as “Cowboy.” He was a protector.

Ronald went to Norfolk Public Schools.

His life long career was as a Welder and an excellent chef.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ruby Butts. Two sister’s, Deloris Harbin and Jessie Mae Smith. Two brothers, George Edward Lewis Sr and Thomas Maurice Lewis. Son, Antonio Holmes.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Lewis-Holmes, Edenton, NC; daughter, Gloria Ronette Holmes, Newport News, VA, sons, Andre Holmes of Arizona, Ronald Dukes, NJ. Sistesr, Ruby Biggs Camden NJ, Sandra (Larry) Brown, Sr., Virginia Beach, VA, Wanda Butts, North Charleston, SC, MeeMee (Donald) Graham, Sr., North Charleston, SC; eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

We never lose the ones we love, for even though they’re gone within the hearts of those who care. Their memory lingers on.
