On February 7th, 2021, Romel  “PoPo” DeLoatch, age 65, passed away peacefully while on vacation with his family by his side in Duck, N.C. Romel was born on June 10th, 1955, in Norfolk, Va to the late Robert DeLoatch and Artis Wallace. He was preceded in death by his beloved Aunt Ardell Parham and grandson Coren DeLoatch.

Romel attended Maury high school in Norfolk, Virginia, where he played basketball and football with the Maury Commodores.
