“The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want”
On Monday, July 1, 2019 Rodney Epps was called home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Rodney was born in Norfolk, Virginia on December 28, 1964 to the late George and Ruth Mae Epps. He received his primary education in Norfolk, VA. Diggs Park Elementary, Campostella Jr. High School, Lake Taylor High School. Rodney worked hard in the community workforce for over 30 years with Giant Open-Air Market for 4 years working at Giant starting at a very early age. Shortly after he turn 18, he started work as a construction worker with Gallop Construction Inc out of Norfolk, VA where he work until the company close. He work for Surplus Recycling for over 10 years and at this very day he worked diligently for 4 yrs. at Happy Shopper until the Lord called him home.
He was known as a light to the family a lovable funny guy with a big smile and a heart of gold our brother, uncle, and cousin had a great sense of humor but yet he was firm in letting his nieces and nephew know there Is nothing like family and remember the sky is the limit you can have anything, go anywhere and do what you please if you put your mind to it and stay focus. Remember always put God first.
He is predeceased by his parents, George and Ruth Mae Jones Epps; two brothers, Nathaniel Epps and Abraham Epps; one niece, Darlene Daniel; one brother-in-law, Avery Monds. Rodney leaves to cherish his memory and continue his legacy, his sons, Rishawan Pender, Walter Winstead, VI, his siblings; Author Epps, Rosa Lawson (Clarence) of Norfolk, VA , Pauline
Newsome(Ricky) of Virginia Beach, VA, Barbara Cooper (Ben), Diane Daily, Terry Epps (Patricia), Oney Epps all of Norfolk,
VA, O’Neal Epps (Deborah) of Virginia Beach and a hose of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews cousins other
family and friends.
