Robin Renee Hale

Sunrise: April 30, 1963

Sunset: December 15, 2024

Robin Renee Hale, 61, passed quietly away while at her residence in Chesapeake, Virginia, on Sunday, December 15, 2024, after a long illness.

She was born on April 30, 1963, to the late Charles L. Ferebee and Estelle Beale Ferebee in Norfolk, Virginia. She was the youngest child and only daughter to this union.

Robin grew up in Norfolk, Virginia, where she attended Norfolk City Public Schools. She was a graduate of Granby High School. As a youth, Robin was very athletic. Her favorite pastime was spent on the basketball court in her neighborhood, where she grew up in the Park Place section of Norfolk. She could play basketball along with any of the boys in the neighborhood. Robin and her girlfriend Gloria, known as Moochie, were known for their basketball skills. She was known for her jump shots, and as she shot them, she would say, “Lights out.” Another one of Robin’s favorite pastimes was playing bingo at the various Bingo Halls in the area. She loved to have a good time. During Robin’s working years, she worked at BAE Shipyard for a few years at Hardee’s Restaurants until she took a leap of faith from having a vision to own her own business and to become an entrepreneur. She started her cleaning service (A-1 Universal Cleaning Services). After running that business for a number of years, she became a part-time home healthcare companion. However, during these years of working, Robin’s brightest and biggest moments in life came when she became a mother to her two children, daughter Latashia and son Corey. She loved them both dearly and was a phenomenal mother who exhibited great strength, and she had a never-quit attitude when times got tough. Robin met and eventually married the love of her life, Lee Roy Hale. They made a lovely home for themselves in Chesapeake, Virginia They were still married upon her death.

Left to cherish her loving memories are her husband, Lee Roy Hale, daughter Latashia L. Ferebee, son Corey C. Ferebee, nine grandchildren, Quinshaylia Ferebee, Lorenzo White, Kevin Williams, Jailen Wesby, Corey Bryant, Rashad Boone, Jr., MiAngel Ferebee, Miracle Lewis, Kelani Ferebee, and three great-grandchildren, Vincere Ferebee, Quinton White, Quina White, three brothers, Anthony R.
