On March 31, 2020, Robert Lee Taylor departed this life peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Robert was born on March 10, 1949 to late Rosa Mae Taylor and Leonard Phelps Taylor, Sr. Robert was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Taylor; brother, Leonard Phelps and sister-in-law, Patricia Taylor. Robert worked at the Norfolk Naval Shipbuilding for 46 years. He also served in the Army for 3 years. Robert was a very loving and caring person. Robert had a soft spot for his grandchildren. He was truly the head of our household. Robert would go out of his way for his family and friends. Robert loved to play domino’s and cards with his very good friends. He also was a die–hard “Pittsburg Steelers” fan. If it had a Pittsburg Steelers logo on it, he had it. He could talk for hours about his team.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Pansie Taylor; daughter, Rose Taylor; grandchildren, DeVone Taylor, MeAsia Taylor Ward and Antoine Ward, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Daizy, Dalyla and DevonTay Taylor; brothers, Curtis Taylor, Douglas Taylor and Curtis Houpe and a host of family and friends.

    To Mrs. Taylor & family, you have my deepest sympathy. Taylor loved you all & always talked about you.
    He will be missed but he is no longer suffering. Even though he is not physically here, know that his love for you is always there. God will sustain you during this time and forever.
