Apostle Richard Lee Toliver, Jr. departed this life on Sunday, January 26, 2025. He was the son of the late Richard and Helen Toliver, and the husband of Darlene Toliver.

Apostle Toliver was raised in Chesapeake, in the Crestwood Manor Community, and later in the Georgetown Community. He served in the U.S. Army. He was the founder and leader of Tabernacle of Miracle Ministries Church.

Apostle Toliver was known for his love of God. He lived the word he preached and always took the time to encourage and minister to others. He was a devoted pastor for over 25 years, and he was admired for his unwavering faith, generosity, and dedication to his community. He had a profound desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

Beyond his professional and spiritual achievements, he thoroughly enjoyed motorcycles, antique vehicles, and food. You could always find him riding out on a warm day, with a good meal in sight.

Apostle Toliver is predeceased by his parents, Richard and Helen Toliver; brothers, Orrick Toliver and Lester Toliver; and sisters, Carolyn Lynch, Joyce Wilson, and Helen Creecy.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Toliver; daughter, Tasha Toliver; sons: Ricky Palmer (Tyshena), Jevonte Palmer (Joanna), and Montrell Palmer (Jessica); sister, Vickie Thomas; brothers: Rev. Michael Toliver (Bennette), Anthony Toliver, Jimmy Toliver (Debra), Steven Toliver, Gary Toliver, and Corey Toliver; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
