Celebrating the life of Rhonda Anita Lyde who was born to Dorothy Mae Lyde and Sylvester Styles on March 10, 1956. Her parents as well, as her sister, Catherine Brown, brother-in-laws, William Brown and Galen Henderson, predeceased Rhonda. Rhonda was educated in the Philadelphia School System. Rhonda was a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Philadelphia. She also worked as security for Beulah Baptist Church from 2006 to 2011. Rhonda was also a part of the street ministry program, in which she went into the public streets to spread the word of God and gospel. Rhonda loved her children very deeply and had given them all nicknames: Twana was Pebbles, Khris was Duce and Stephen was Mukum.
Rhonda loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. That was one of her most enjoyable things she liked to do. Rhonda always liked getting her hair done. Although Rhonda was such a loving person, she had her way of getting her point across. She was very strong willed, caring and loving. That is only a few words to describe her personality. One of Rhonda’s favorite meals to cook was lima beans with smoked turkey necks and rice. Rhonda’s health took a turn within the last year when she was diagnosed with cancer. Although Rhonda’s health may have been an issue , her spirit grew stronger with lots of prayer and scripture readings. Rhonda leaves to cherish her memories her children, Twana Wright, Khris Lyde and Stephen Lyde; her sister, Ingrid Henderson; grandchildren, Thyriq McCoy, Jashn McCoy, Amir Lyde, Kymani Lyde and Aria Smith; nieces, Imon Brown, Mykelle Deal and Jamita Henderson; nephews, Santerjai Brown, Galen Henderson and Montreal Jordan; great nephews, Darius Henderson and Javion Henderson and a host of other family and friends.

I am sorry I did not know Rhonda had passed but I remember her when I met her and she could pronounce my name with no problem we would laugh and of course I was loud and she smiled.
