Regina Hawkins Banks was born on November 16, 1961, in Norfolk, Virginia, to the late Gene A. Hawkins and Valjean D. Davis. She is the first of two children from the union. Regina was raised in a Christian home and accepted Christ as her savior at an early age.
Regina graduated from Maury High School in Norfolk, Virginia. She was employed with Elevance Health for over twenty-two years. Her interests included video games and cooking. She also loved listening to music.
Regina was especially fond of her three children and was devoted to her family and friends. She was always available to assist whenever and wherever she could.
Regina leaves to mourn: her mother, Valjean Davis; one brother, Trenton Hawkins; three children, Demetrius Hawkins (Sophia), Keisha Jones (Gary), and Cherelle Banks; seven grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Ava Hawkins; and a host of cousins, aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends.

May 10, 2025 at 10:31 amMy deepest condolences to Regina’s family. I will hold on to the best of times we had over the years! Being pregnant the same time, living in the same apartment complexes, planning our Sunday dinners, and even working for the same company. So thankful for the journey. You are already missed! 😢 Love you friend. ❤
