Reco Devon Hunter

On June 4, 2018, Reco Devon Hunter was called home to be with the Lord. Reco was born on July 18, 1979 in Norfolk, Virginia to Franklin John Clay and the late Barbara Faye Younger. Reco was educated in the Virginia Beach School System. He attended Salem High School as well as Floyd E. Kellam High School. Reco received his G.E.D. in 2004. Reco loved to play sports and excelled in every sport he played. Reco played baseball; it wasn’t a sport he was particularly fond of, but he played it to please and honor his grandfather, the late Floyd Jackson. Reco was phenomenal at playing baseball and won many awards. He played for Salem Middle and High School with both schools winning National Titles. Reco was a very outgoing, social and funny person. He never met a stranger. Reco was loved and respected by many. He will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish his precious memories are his daughter, Khaje Everett “Mook”; father, Franklin J. Clay; sister, Takisha  ounger; aunt and mother, Angie Gilchrist (Clarence) and Leseur Clay; five uncles, Winston Jackson, Sherman Clay, Robert
Clay, James Clay and Ricki Clay. In addition to this he leaves to cherish two nephews, Jayden Younger and Jordan Younger; two nieces, Jayda Younger, and his other niece/daughter, Jayla Younger; one great aunt, Rosa Lee Wilson, and a host of other relatives and friends.

    Reco will truly be missed by all of his family and friends. I honestly dont feel like he’s gone. I think about him everyday. I will cherish the time I had with him. From Patrick and Melissa Tabron, we offer our condolences.
