In this life, we must take the time to admire and give thanks for all of God’s remarkable gifts.  For 22 magnificent years, the lives of so many were touched and blessed by our king, Rashad O’Bryan Hargis. He entered this life on June 17, 2002, to Diedra Hargis of Hampton, VA, and Shadrake Hargis Parksley, VA.

Rashad was a joyful, caring, and compassionate person. The love Rashad shared with family and close friends went unmatched, always kind and uplifting words of encouragement. During his tender young age, Rashad was known to be the life of the party by being outgoing, respectful, and loving, with a smile to light up a room. Rashad compassion for others led to being a full-time caregiver for a special friend, Zachary Quimby. Rashad was known to be an intentional listener and standing on business in his personal and professional life. Over the years, Rashad made lasting relationships with a positive impact on all.

Rashad was a 2020 graduate of Western Branch High School. Rashad professional career started in 2021 with Stihl in Virginia Beach, VA.

Rashad departed on November 7, 2024, joining his beloved Grandma Bam, Grandpa Bobby, and sister Destiny Cummings, adding to our angels of protection and guidance. We will love and miss him greatly, yet appreciate the times we shared.

We miss his presence at Stihl Inc. He was such a positive person to be around, and work
with. It is still unbelievable that he is no longer with us.
But I am thankful that our path did cross, and I am at peace knowing Rashad is with Father God. He was such a wonderful person. Praying for his beautiful mother, and all those who are grieving his loss. 🙏 “Joy cometh in the morning.”
