Randolph Curtis Griffin

Sunrise: October 13, 1990

Sunset: October 20, 2024

Randolph (Randy) Curtis Griffin was called home to reunite with his mother on October 20, 2024. Randy was born October 13, 1990. He was a member of the James Hillhouse High School graduating class of 2010. The same high school his mother, Alletta, graduated from in 1990. Following in his mother’s footsteps, Randy was on the Hillhouse indoor and outdoor track teams.

Randy was a quiet guy that loved his music and dancing. He was affectionally called “String bean” by his Nana. He was also referred to as her $100,000 Baby as he born prematurely and had to spend his first few months of life in the hospital. Randy was always teased by his siblings as being the oldest but was the smallest in height and size. People always thought he was the second or third born when standing near his brothers. He always joked he thanked God for facial hair because they night have thought his sister was older than him as well. There are many who were drawn to him by gentle nature and easy-going, laid-back personality. He enjoyed having a good laugh while talking and hanging with his family and friends. The beautiful spirit of Randy will live on in everyone heart. He was a great son, grandson, brother, nephew, and friend.

Randy was preceded in death by his mother Alletta Griffin-Sivells and his brother Kevin “KJ” Sivells Jr.

Randy is survived by his father and stepmother Kevin Sivells Sr (Tammy) of MD, grandmother Margaret Griffin, dad Brian Edwards (Donvolne), 5 brothers (Nathaniel Griffin, Justin Strong, John Ferebee, Quashawn Edwards, William Wynn), 3 sisters (Karri Sivells, Delonia Ferebee, and Glossie Ferebee), many aunts, uncles, cousins and great friends.

I will truly miss seeing you at food lion. It’s been really hard going in there and not seeing you behind that counter or on the register. But God, makes no mistakes. You no longer have to suffer or be in pain from not feeling well. Rest in paradise my friend! You are truly missed! Your food lion buddy .
