January 19, 2020 at 7:29 pmMy sincerest condolences to the family of my Frat Brother and my Woodlands HS Dean and Fellow NSU Spartan alum, Randy Forrest. A great man who was a part of my “village” of mentors. He influenced my life so much that my journey has followed some of the same steps he took.

January 22, 2020 at 9:55 pmMy condolences to Mr. Forrest’s family and friends. All of Mr. Forrest’s wrestlers from Woodlands and Mount Vernon have lost a man who had such a positive impact on so many lives. I hope that his family knows this and have some comfort knowing that his memory lives in many now middle-aged men. I have thought of you, Mr. Forrest, almost every day. Rest in peace, Mr. Forrest.

January 23, 2020 at 12:35 pmMy sincere condolences to the family. I didn’t know him well – I wasn’t on the wrestling team, and I only got in trouble once. But I do remember him being no-nonsense, and tough but fair. Admirable qualities for any teenage boy to emulate.
Rest peacefully, Dean Forrest.

January 27, 2023 at 2:32 pmCoach Forrest was my coach and role model at Woodlands High School from 1973 to 1977 and has been an influence on my life second only to my parents. I am certain that he has also been for countless other young people throughout his life, and for this, his family should be proud. I have thought of him often over the past 45 years and he will be missed.
