My sincerest condolences to the family of my Frat Brother and my Woodlands HS Dean and Fellow NSU Spartan alum, Randy Forrest. A great man who was a part of my “village” of mentors. He influenced my life so much that my journey has followed some of the same steps he took.

My condolences to Mr. Forrest’s family and friends. All of Mr. Forrest’s wrestlers from Woodlands and Mount Vernon have lost a man who had such a positive impact on so many lives. I hope that his family knows this and have some comfort knowing that his memory lives in many now middle-aged men. I have thought of you, Mr. Forrest, almost every day. Rest in peace, Mr. Forrest.

My sincere condolences to the family. I didn’t know him well – I wasn’t on the wrestling team, and I only got in trouble once. But I do remember him being no-nonsense, and tough but fair. Admirable qualities for any teenage boy to emulate.
    Rest peacefully, Dean Forrest.

I was on Mr. Forrest’s wrestling team at Woodlands (1975-79). He was a great coach in sports and in life. Like many others, I continue to carry his influence with me.

Coach Forrest was my coach and role model at Woodlands High School from 1973 to 1977 and has been an influence on my life second only to my parents. I am certain that he has also been for countless other young people throughout his life, and for this, his family should be proud. I have thought of him often over the past 45 years and he will be missed.
