Quayshaun Wadley Sr., 29 of Portsmouth VA, departed his life on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital of Norfolk, Virginia.
Born in Trenton, NJ, Quayshaun was a resident of Portsmouth VA most of his life. He was a 2009 Graduate of Virginia Military Tech., and also received a HVAC Certification from Tidewater Community College. He was a 2017 graduate of Norfolk Sheriff’s Academy, Class of 59, in which he received a Honor Award in recognition for combined overall average of Academic, Firearms, Physical Fitness Achievement. Currently employed at Norfolk Sheriff’s Department as a Sheriff’s Deputy.
Quayshaun, affectionately called Shaun and Hot Sauce was a warm, gentle loving and compassionate Father, Son, Brother, Nephew, Cousin and Friend. Shaun was also an adventurous, courageous, strong will individual. Shaun had a genuine interest in everyone he met and his infectious smile and laughter will be deeply missed.
Quayshaun is predeceased by his great-grandparents, Andrew and Mattie Powell and Zommie Lee and Louise Wadley; two aunts, Valerie Fortson and Anita Knight.
He is survived by two daughters, Layla A. Wadley and Kamyah R. Wadley, a son, Quayshaun M. Wadley Jr.; fiancé, Michelle Hilton all of Lexington SC; his parents, James S. (Yolanda) Wadley Jr. of Portsmouth VA and Chelese (Lino) Rosario of Hamilton, NJ; fiancé parent’s Michael and Sheana Hilton of Lexington SC; five sisters, Michel’le Wadley of Hamilton, NJ, Alasha Knight of Bristol PA, Courtney Rosairo, Mahogany Rosario, all of Hamilton NJ and Ashley Burch of Portsmouth VA; 4 brothers, James Knight of Trenton NJ, Channan Rosario, Jovanni Rosario, and Josiah Rosario all of Hamilton NJ; fiancé brothers’ Michael Hilton III and Ronald Hilton of Lexington SC; 4 grandparents, James S. Wadley Sr. of Columbia SC, Lillie (Albert) Agosto of Columbia SC, Elizabeth Knight of Trenton NJ and Elougio (Valerie) Bradley of Trenton NJ; two great-grandparents, Walter and Louida Knight of Trenton NJ; seven aunts, Lura (Rudolph) James of Portsmouth VA, Fonda (Toni) Champion, Michelle James, and Veronica Wadley all of Columbia SC., Tyshann Knight, Sonya (Christopher) McCleese, and Eliza Knight all of Trenton NJ; five uncles, Edward (Tametra) Knight of Trenton NJ Elouzia (Melissa) Knight of Greensboro MD, Kennith Pace of Trenton NJ, Donte Pace of Trenton NJ and Robert Agosto of Burlington NJ; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and close friends.
