On February 3, 2025, Our Father, grandfather, Brother, Uncle, and Friend passed away. Percy L Moore was born on April 7, 1941, to the late Willie and Thelma Moore. Precede in death his wife, (Beautiful) Lue Berta Moore known as L.B., his sister, Emma Jordan, brothers, Fletcher Franklin Moore, Sr., George Moore, Sr., Robert Sherrill Moore, Billie Joe Moore, and Charle Moore, and his grandson, Dominic Barbara.
Percy was known as “Brother.” He was a character who could charm poison out of a snake and then talk junk to you. And if he owed anyone money, I do not have it, in the words of 50 Cent, “You can’t get a dollar out of me.”
Percy attended Norfolk Public School. On August 6, 1960, he was accepted as a member of the Reserve of the United States Navy. He became a member of St. Paul Christian Methodist Episcopal Church on October 17, 1965. He was also employed by Mayflower Trucking Company.
He leaves behind a special brother, John Ed Moore, and five children, Sinatra Moore, Sr., (Lorsonja) Percy V. Moore (Andrea), Fredericka M. Wells (Steve), Tony Saunders, and April Lanier. Grandchildren, Sinatra Moore, Jr., Khadija Moore, Demetrius Moore, Breon Bowser, Deonte Cary, Ryan Franks, Derrick Wells (Leah), Steve Wells, Jr., Almetria Bailey, and Octavius Bailey, 12 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
