I extend to you my deepest sympathy for your loss. I met Penny when she worked for a government agency for which I had a great deal of contact. Penny always greeted me with a smile and then we chatted a while. I left her presence always with a smile because of her humor.

December 7, 2018 at 4:08 amTo the Buress family I pray you find comfort in knowing Penny is with God, and she no longer has the challenges of this world; I have know Penney since High School; I have lived in MD for many years and looked forward to seeing Penney during my visits to Norfolk. She joined me in family activities and was always a step away from making me laugh with her comments. Penney will be missed and she was loved by all; I am sorry I did not have the opportunity to say good by or see you later. My prayers are with you.

December 7, 2018 at 8:38 pmIt is with great sadness and deep sympathy that I extend my condolences to Ms. Mildred and family.
I remember Penny! She was my sister’s (Sheryl) childhood friend and they remained friends up until this very moment. It wasn’t often that you’d see one without the other. Penny was our family’s friend. She was everyone’s friend and you could ALWAYS count on her to make you laugh.. laugh… laugh… laugh… laugh. This beautiful legacy of love and laughter she leaves will not soon be forgotten… and neither will that voice… so rich and deep…
Rest in Heaven, Penny! Lambert’s Point Forever!
When we all get to heaven… what a day of rejoicing that will be…

December 8, 2018 at 1:21 amPenny was a classmate of mine. I want to extend my sincere condolences to Penny’s family. She was always full of life with personality and humor. I would speak with her from time to time over the years and the conversations were as though no time had passed. Two things stand out in thinking of her, in one of the last two conversations with her she detected I was not feeling well at that time, and she was willing to assist where she could with all she was dealing with. In the other, my daughter was temporarily in California, involved with a project; again, she offered to contact a source to assist with temporary housing, in spite of all that she dealt with. Penny took our friendship seriously. She had a service heart with strong faith. Rest in peace, my friend. My thoughts and prayers will be with your family during this time.
