Pearline Vaughn Brown

Sunrise: August 5, 1930

Sunset: January 23, 2021

Pearline Vaughn was born on August 5, 1930 to the late Haywood and Mayetta Vaughn in Norfolk, Virginia. She was married to the late Tilmon Brown, Sr.; and to this union 5 loving children were born. At an early age Pearline professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined First Pentecostal United Holy Church, where she was a long-time dedicated member. Pearline was a virtuous and God-fearing woman who raised her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to love, honor, and serve the Lord. She loved talking about the goodness of Jesus to all she came in contact with. Her life was an example of the bible verse: “Trust in the Lord with all heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge HIM, and He shall direct your paths.”

Flying on the wings of an angel, Pearline left this world and claimed her crown on January 23, 2021. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of all who came to know her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tilmon Brown, Sr.; daughter, Sheila Brown; brothers, Haywood Vaughn, Jr., Willie Vaughn, Cornelius Vaughn, and Langford Vaughn; sisters, Vivian Ashby, Julia Sykes, and Rosa Hines.

Pearline is survived by her daughter, Diane Herrien; sons, Tilmon Brown, Jr. (Bessie), Jerome Brown (Faye), and Maurice Brown (Cynthia); grandchildren, Jerome Brown, Jr., Vernesha Brown, Lakeisha Brown, Monica Brown, Shakeila Brown, Tiffany Brown Montaque, Brittany Herrien, Corey Brown, and Eric Herrien; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that will all miss her dearly.
