Paulette Brown of Chesapeake Virginia surrounded by a loving family, transitioned from this life to her eternal home on Saturday March 2, 2024 after a lengthly illness.
Born, July 23,1952 to the late John Edward Harrison Sr. and Ogelee Daniels Harrison in Norfolk, Virginia and grew up as the middle child in a family of six. Reared in the Young’s Park area of Norfolk and was a confirmed “Daddy’s girl.” She attended Young’s Park Elementary, before moving on and graduating from Booker T. Washington High School, after which she attended Norfolk State University where she majored in Early Childhood Education, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in 1974. She was also a Class Officer of the BTW Class of 1970 Reunion Committee and a past member of the NSU Alumni, Virginia Beach Chapter.
If you knew Paulette one would quickly observe she was ambitious and expected the best from herself and others. She had an incredible meteoric rise during her professional career ultimately rising to become the Director of Global Housing for the US Department of Naval Services.
However, despite her ambitious nature, nothing was more important to Paulette than family and her faith. In the midst of her amazing career, she met the love of her life Willie L. Brown, her dedicated husband of 34 years whom she married on June 16th,1990 and together they raised five children who in-turn added six grandchildren to this amazing family.
Paulette lived an incredibly rich life and leaves to cherish her memory and legacy:
Her loving husband Willie L. Brown, her devoted son Stewart Canady, (Levi), sons; Antonio Lockhart (Joelle), Chiron Brown, and Jalen Brown, Grandchildren: Kiana Brown-Woods, Shayana Brown, Jeanae Brown-Campbell, Alexis Brown-Lockhart, Riley Brown-Lockhart, Siblings; Gloria Jean McNair (Sterling), Patricia Anne Harrison, Carolyn Harrison Chesson, Janice Harrison Drake, (Larry), In laws; Alonzo Brown (Carol), Cleveland Brown (Chrystal), Clinton Brown (Donna), Sharon Harrison, Cherished Aunts & Uncles; Annette Lawrence (James), Dahlia Williams, Alyce Nelson, Frank Harrison (Florence) and a host of caring and loving nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
She is predeceased by John Edward Harrison Sr. (Father), Ogelee Daniels Harrison (Mother), John Edward Harrison Jr. (Brother), Jeanine Brown (Daughter), Rashawn Brown-Butts (Grandson).

March 5, 2024 at 9:51 pmTo Willie Brown & Family:
God is waiting to receive our beautiful and God-fearing angel, Paulette Brown. She has blessed us with so much vhim and vigor. She always greeted you with a smile and a kind word. No matter how she felt, she always made you feel comfortable and at home.
She loved her family and her church, but she loved her Willie, and he loved and support her.
He was her “rock.”
Paulette will certainly be missed, but God had a better plan for her. Rest in peace my sister/friend.
