Paul L. Dowtin

Paul Dowtin was born May 30, 1931 in Lawrenceville, Virginia to the late Moses and Fannie Mae Dowtin. He was a member of ILA Local 1248 from 1972-1995. He was married to Shirley Dowtin who was a devoted wife for many years. Together they had five children, Myron, Marlyn, Paul Jr, Renee and Gary Dowtin. They adopted Raymond Times, Richard Sherrod and Princess Wiggins and Paul also was a loving father to Kenisha Baker (Myron Conway) (Belly) and Natisha Creecy Allen. Paul enjoy dancing, music and playing cards, he would play all night if he could. Paul was preceded in death by his four sisters, Pearl, Ruby, Claire and Emmal; three brothers, Ope, Garland and John.

He leaves to cherish his memories one sister, Shirley-Hayes of Norfolk, VA; nieces and nephews, Daisy, Paulene, Brenda and Rodney, Brenda Dowtin, Cheryl & Kenney Washington, James, Herbert, Carnell, Barbara Johnson, and Felicia Jones. A special long time friend-niece-stick Cheryl Watson and a loving devoted friend Ella Smith and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great nieces, great nephews and many special friends.
