Mrs. Patricia Ann. “Butterbean” Johnson (maiden name Stallworth) was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. She passed away peacefully on February 15, 2024 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital’ in Norfolk, Virginia at the age of 73.
Patricia is survived by her husband Charles McBride of Pensacola, Florida; her children Marsha Nelson (Jeffery), Patrick Stallworth (Shannon Monroe), and Stephine Stallworth; her grandchildren Andrious, Devin, Isaiah, Adaiah, Percais, Aryana, Taniya, Myah; her great grandson Roman; her siblings Carolyn (Arizona), Minnie (Florida), Sandra (Florida), James (Florida), Susan (Florida), Grace (Florida), Elizabeth (Florida), Christopher (Florida) and many close friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Evan Stallworth (Alabama) and Annie Bell Hogan-Stallworth (Florida), her sisters Sylvia (Florida), and Annie (California), and brother David (Florida).
Patricia was born on March 13, 1950 in Pensacola, Florida to Evan Stallworth and Annie Bell Hogan-Stallworth. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1969. During her life she worked many jobs from retail, to a dietician and finally a nurse’s aide at a senior living facility. Her children remember her as a witty, wonderful cook, and a kind, fun-loving, and caring mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals. Mom lived all over the United States before settling in Pensacola to raise a family. After raising her children she moved to Norfolk, Virginia.
Patricia was passionate about having a good time, and often indulged in watching classic tv. She was a generous individual who loved helping people. She participated in many cookouts as the life of the party. She will be missed by all who knew her.
