Pastor Todd was first and foremost a faithful man of God. He lived out his faith loving, serving, teaching, disciplining, and encouraging others to develop a personal relationship with God. He faithfully served at Living Word Tabernacle, Norfolk, Virginia for 13 years under Apostle Larry Herring. He served wherever he was needed. As a Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, and Worship Leader.

He never met a stranger because he was always interested in others. A vibrant and beautiful soul who loved music. He was an avid reader who loved golfing and spending time with his grandkids. Lawrence enjoyed traveling the world. Also, known for being a culinary enthusiast who loved his “Cincinnati Chili” and a cologne connoisseur; was elected and served as President of Sawyers Mill Homeowners Association for several years. He was truly a dapper man whose sense of fashion, passion for kingdom work, and love for his family will never be forgotten. As he rests now with the Lord he loved, the many lives he touched will always have Pastor Lawrence Todd Sr. in their hearts and memories.

January 8, 2025 at 1:21 pmI don’t know what to say, I lack the ability to express how I feel as my dad and I have been blessed these years to know Pastor. I know in my time with Pastor, I have seen how he cared for his family and the flock God assigned. Pastor has a unique way of being able to teach the Word, he had extraordinary patience, and it helped allow me to progress and overcome a significant disability. My dad and I are forever Grateful. We send our sincerest condolences and prayers to the Todd family and Lighthouse Assembly of God family. Rest Well, Pastor.

On behalf of my mother Betty Anderson and I, Tabatha Anderson and my husband Marvin Butts of Cincinnati OH, send our love, prayers and deepest sympathies at the passing of Pastor Todd.
One of the kindest people God put on this earth and I was honored to call him Uncle. Thank you Lord for the blessing. Family wipe your tears and trust God…the Pastor would not want you to be consumed by your grief, but to rejoice in the blessing of the memories of a life well lived and a man well loved.

January 17, 2025 at 9:55 amPastor Todd welcomed me with open arms when I visited Lighthouse Assembly church services. He and the entire Todd family, as well as the church family, treated me as one of their own, showing great love and tremendous heart to me, a total stranger. I know he served The Lord faithfully and heaven is singing hallelujah with its newest angel. God bless the family and his church members. He will never be forgotten!
