On March 15, 2024, Ornest J. Poole, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, departed this life at his home. He was born to Juanita and Ornest Sanderson and was a proud native of Virginia Beach. Ornest received his formal education from Virginia Beach Public School System, graduating from Kempsville High School, and went on to serve his community with dedication and passion.
With a career spanning over three decades with the Chesapeake Public School System and Camelot Nursing Home, Ornest retired from Chesapeake Public Schools after 30 years of devoted service.
A man of deep faith and commitment, Ornest was a cherished member of the Redeemed Church of God. He served with distinction as a lead usher, embodying the values of compassion, kindness, and service to others.
Ornest was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Sanderson, his father, Ornest Sanderson, and his brother, Artis Poole. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories to be held dear by his surviving family members and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Terrell A. Poole, his son, Terrence O. Benn (Vincent), and his grandsons, Terence Poole and Tyrell Poole. Ornest also leaves behind his dear sister, Ella Boggs, along with nieces Tonio Sanderson and Tenekias Boggs,
Ornest J. Poole‘s life was a testament to love, resilience, and service. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory be a blessing to us all.
