July 19, 2021 at 1:55 pmDeepest sympathy to the entire Artis family. Mr Artis was a great man & together w/ Mrs Artis, they made a very powerful couple. He was always a joy to be around & he knew the exact words to say to me when he could tell I was sad & stressed. It was an honor knowing both him & Mrs Artis. I’ll never forget the love he shared for others as well as the big smile he would have every time I had a new salt & pepper shaker for his wife. May they now rest in paradise together. XOXO, Rachel Dio RN CM Fresenius Kidney Care Indian River Rd

July 21, 2021 at 8:51 amHeartfelt condolences to the family of Oliver Artis. I met he and Ida over 55 years ago and just loved everything about them; they were like family; someone you could always talk to, go to for advice, “Love” not “Judgement” and always so welcoming. God has another Shepherd in his Kingdom to do the work that he and Ida started here on earth. To the “Children & Grandchildren” continue to be strong and know that your Dad/Granddad is at peace and reunited with the “Love of his life”. Sorrowfully Submitted, Elaine Fennell

July 22, 2021 at 11:39 amI called him “Dad” because he loved me like his son from the time we meet at Abyssinia Baptist Church in the earlier 1980’s Deacon Artis took me under his wing sharing with me ways of Godly living, advice as a husband, father and a man standing strong in confidence. He made a vivid impression on my life and my family that I’ll never forget, I’m honored to have known him and his wonderful wife. May Gods peace and comfort hold the family through this trying time. My heart is full of love for you all!

July 28, 2021 at 9:04 pmTo the Artis Family: it was truly a joy to know Oliver. Whenever we would see each other, it would always be an hour long visit, most of the time in the grocery store. He was a good friend to my brother Roy and always talked about him. It was delightful to talk with him and receive inspiration. Now he rest with Jesus and I pray that you will always remember him in love.
