Norris Eugene Booker

Ret. Air Force Sergeant, Norris Eugene Booker, 78 went to his eternal rest on Friday, June 19, 2020.  He was born in Norfolk, Virginia on September 09, 1942 to the late Theodore C. Booker, Sr. and Mary Nottingham Booker.  He was preceded in death by four siblings, Nancy Sawyer, Theodore C. Booker, Jr., Mary (Baby Sis.) Benns, and Leslie L. Booker, Sr.

Norris graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1961, Norfolk, Virginia.  He loved the Lord, and was a loving devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Norris had a passion for jazz music in which he had a collection of jazz albums and CDs.  He was a man of wisdom and knowledge who was known for his gentle kindness to everyone.  He always kept a humble smile, and was there for his nieces and nephews.

Norris enlisted in the U.S. Air Force following school.  He retired honorably from the United States Air Force after 29 years of service, and the United States Postal Service after 20 years of service.

Norris leaves to cherish his memory: his loving daughter, Tanya Katress Cowell; grandchildren; Tyquwilla Cowell, Setdrea Cowell, and Simone Cowell; one great-grandchild Zaiden Griffin all of Norfolk, VA; one sister-in -law, Gladys (Vonnie) Booker (Leslie d.) of Norfolk, VA; 10 nieces, 14 nephews, cousins, and friends.
