Norma married the love of her life, Mr. Wilbert Whitaker (deceased). Norma had six children, Betty Davis (Milton, both deceased), Eleanor White (Charles), Furma Williams, Chrystal Whitaker (deceased}, Kathy Tillman (Albert), and Calvin Whitaker. She was blessed to love five living generations of her family with 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and four great, great-grandchildren. In addition, Norma is survived by her nieces, extended family & friends.
Norma was a member of Second Calvary Baptist Church where she proudly served as an Usher and a Greeter. She volunteered in the bookstore and with the kitchen committee. Additionally, she was a member of the Women’s Ministry where she received the title “Queen D.I.V.A”. (Divinely Inspired Victorious and Anointed). She was a member of the Spiritual Support for Cancer Ministry, the Wisdom Ministry, and the Widow and Widowers Ministry and she was a past leader of the church’s Women’s Day Celebration. Norma was blessed to be selected as both The Woman of the Year in 2017 and Grandmother of the Year in 2022, for Second Calvary Baptist Church.
