    The Broken Chain

Little did we know that day 28 June 2018,
God was going to call our Sister Nicole Powell Cooke name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death, we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you.
    You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
    You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And although we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.
    Our family chain is broken,
    And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
    The chain will link again.

I leave my heart-felt condolences to the entire family. Although I did not have the honor of knowing Nicole, I remember her with the voice of an Angel. Saying farewell to a sibling is a different kind of hurt but rest assured, now she is singing for Jesus. I pray your strength in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and may He comfort you now and always until you see Nicole again.
