Nevin Lamer Drewry was born July 17, 2004 in Chesapeake Virginia, to Sabrena Milligan and Quinton Drewry. Nevin was a rising 10th grade student at Woodrow Wilson High School in Portsmouth, Virginia. He was well known in the Churchland and Downtown area of Portsmouth.
Nevin spent his time with family, friends and classmates. He showed courage, strength, and empathy to all that entered into his life. He was the laughter, and a joy to us! Nevin loved rap music and spent a lot of time at the recording studio. He found joy in staying up all night long playing video games (Drifting Cars on Grand Theft Auto was his favorite)! Listening to loud music with a huge smile, and oftentimes you would see him riding down the sidewalk on his bike. When talking on the cellphone, Facetime was his favorite. Nevin was that baby to everyone, that we never wanted to see grow up.
Nevin was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Frank and Virginia Drewry; Grandfather, Kenneth Milligan and Sister Syndi Stribling.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his mother, Sabrena Milligan; Father, Quinton Drewry; brothers, Clarence Harden, Quinton Drewry, and Jabril Quddus. Grandmother, Ardrena Anderson; Aunts, Beverly Warner, Janice and Karen Drewry, April Harris and Sherri Anderson; Uncles, Frank and Arnold Drewry and Warren Anderson; Godparents, Danielle McCray and Andy Apple.
Nevin leaves behind a host of relatives, great aunts and uncles, 3 nieces, Sincere, Saniya and Syndi; two nephews, Santana and Sevyn, cousins, dear friends, classmates, teachers, WWHS, and Churchland Middle School.
