On Thursday September 15, 2022 our beloved Pastor, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and dear Friend departed this world for eternal life. Nemmo (Goose) Etheridge was born on March 3, 1944 in Chesapeake, Virginia to the late Nimmo and Teresa Etheridge. Pastor Etheridge was raised on a farm and attended Crestwood High School. He was preceded in death by his son Breean Etheridge; Sister, Geraldine Etheridge, and Brothers Joe and Robert Etheridge.
Pastor Nemmo was a man who loved God, adored his family, cherished his church family, and would sacrifice anything for those he loved. Pastor and his wife, Dr. Brenda F. Etheridge founded the Lion of Judah Worship Center in 1999. He loved being a Pastor and mentor to many, He was also a well-respected hardworking man. Pastor retired from World Fuels, formerly called Papco Fuels, after 60 years of driving fuel trucks. He had a work ethic unlike the above average family man, Pastor would laughingly say “I would rather work than eat.” He wasn’t one for sitting around doing nothing. In his down time you could find him working on cars and he particularly loved antique cars. His favorite was his 1949 Lincoln. Back in the day he would enter his 1971 Corvette and 1951 Chevrolet into car shows; win or lose it was the excitement of the show he enjoyed most. Pastor unlike many men, enjoyed shopping and his favorite place to do so was New York. He and Pastor Brenda made many fond memories during their excursions.
Pastor Nemmo Etheridge will be cherished by his wife of 50 years, Rev. Dr. Brenda F. Etheridge; son, Maurice Etheridge (Daphne); one daughter, ZeNaiah Adderley; siblings: Marie McDonald, Shirley Parham, Ann Barfield, and James Etheridge (Evelyn); God-Daughter, Tiara Felton; sister/cousin, Ida Ferebee; four grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, spiritual children, other relatives and friends.
Pastor Nemmo, affectionately known as Goose, had a personality that positively impacted everyone he encountered. He loved hard and was generous to a fault. His sacrifices of love, mentoring nature, and kind spirit will be truly missed by many.

September 23, 2022 at 10:23 amTo the family of Pastor Nemmo Etheridge ( GOOSE ) LOL ….
May The Lord give you comfort in knowing that this is just a temporarily separation . For to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. And remember in 1 Thessalonians 16-17 : For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout with the voice of the archangel and with the trump of God and the dead in Christ shall rise first Then we which are alive shall be caught up together to meet with him in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord…..God Bless You…Minister Keith Johnson a long time friend of the family from Crestwood on Outlaw st.
