Nakia entered eternal rest on August 12, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Katherine Clark and Ernest Taylor. She was born on January 21, 1980 in Norfolk, Virginia. Nakia attended Granby High School and went to further her education at Tidewater Community College and University of Phoenix.
She had been employed throughout the years with various companies such as Xerox, Panasonic, Amazon, Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield and to be closer to her daughter, Kaia, who is based in Fort Still.
Nakia was a Dallas Cowboys fan and loved spending time with her granddaughter, Deondra. She had in her plans to make it back to Virginia for the arrival of her new granddaughter, Rae’lynn. Many people don’t know this but, Nakia enjoyed writing and had a talent for it.
Nakia was preceded in death by her parents, Uncle Billy whom she missed dearly, and her grandson, Jaicen. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Ta’Nia, Kaia, Keyshawn, Terrell, Osiris, and Omari Clark; grandchildren, Deondra Jones and Rae’lynn Grant; her brother, Daryl “Buzz” Clark; nieces, Atiana Basnight, Laila Clark, Dariana Clark, her lifelong BFF and Godmother to her children, Lenecia Porro, as well as a host of cousins and friends.
