Mother Lillie Mae Harris

On Saturday, September 3, 2022, another angel was called home. Mother Lillie Mae Harris was born March 2nd, 1936, in Gaffney, South Carolina, to King David and Peal D. Littlejohn. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School. In 1955 she married the love of her life Benjamin Franklin Harris known to many as Papa Joe, from this union they had three children. Mother Harris “Booba” worked as a chef for Lone Pine Restaurant and Knickerbockers where she retired from.

Mother Harris loved the church, she worked diligently in many Ministries and Organizations as a Mother of the church, Missionary, Sunday School Teacher, Senior Usher, Youth Director Sunbeam Choir and Ushers. This woman of God lived the life she prayed, taught and preached about. Mother Harris was kind, giving, and willing to do anything she could for a person. She was predeceased by her son, Elvis Wesley Littlejohn; daughter, Celina Lindsey and five brothers.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of sixty seven years, Benjamin “ Papa Joe” Harris; children, Jimmie Littlejohn, JoAnn Ellis (Maurice) of Gaffney, South Carolina, Charles Harris (Gloria) of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Peggy Wood of Gaffney, South Carolina, and Adrienne Williams; loving daughter in law, Melanie Littlejohn; thirty five grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family friends and others whom lives were touched by Mother Harris.
