Mildred Hall-Cox entered in to rest on August 29, 2023 on Sunrise Ave, Portsmouth, VA. Mildred was a native of Rich Square, North Carolina, she was born, July 11, 1926.

Mildred worked for the City of Portsmouth Parks and Recreation for 30 years. She loved to work with the children.  Thank you for the many years of service.

Mildred will be missed by her daughter, Carole Jean Riddick. She also leaves to cherish her memory, two grandchildren, Dakota Riddick and Michael Richardson; two favorite cousins, Sharon Austin and Madeline Powell; godchildren, Carol Harris and Bro. Jemmont R. Harris and a host of nieces and cousins. Others that she truly loved were, Barbara Gatling, Jackie Gatling-Myles, Valerie Kindell, Jackie Kindell, Marian Burns, Tarranian Burns, Peggy Peoples, Lillie Gross, and Verline Grabbs.

    My name is Donna Jacobs-Dixson, I am one of Mrs Hall’s kids from her day when she worked parks & recreation in the 1970’s, she was such a sweet angel, I saw her a few yrs ago and she called my name we talked it was so good to see her again. Condolences to her family.
