Melvin C. Vaughan went home to be with God on July 2, 2020. Melvin died peacefully in his home. Melvin graduated
from Wilson High School. Melvin was a Security Officer for 15 years. He enjoyed working with people. Melvin always had a smile on his face and was a fun loving person.
He was a member of the Mt. Nebo R.Z.U.A. Church for over 20 years. He served God with gladness. He was president of the Men’s Usher Board, Trustee, Deacon and Pastor’s Stewart for 3 Pastors at Mt. Nebo R.Z.U.A. Church. Melvin enjoyed music.
He leaves to cherish his memory , his wife, Bevery Vaughan of Portsmouth, VA; four sons, Marque Washington (Marquitta) of Portsmouth, VA, Christopher Vaughan of Norfolk, VA, Michael Bullock of Portsmouth, VA and Thomas Bullock (Christina) of Chesapeake, VA; one sister, Bevery Jones of Franklin, VA; three grandchildren, Deya Bunn of Portsmouth, VA, MacKencie Vaughan of Norfolk, VA and Ar’Brianna Dixon, Newport News, VA; two aunts, Wanda Williams (Reginald) of Portsmouth, VA and Gloria Bellamy of Fayetteville, NC and one uncle, George Vaughan (Patricia) of Portsmouth, VA and a host of cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his son Melvin Riddick; father, Melvin Vaughan, Sr.; grandmother, Annie Vaughan and grandfather, James Vaughan.
