Maurion R. Hardison, 32, was called home on December 14, 2018 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. Born to the late Karen Gaddy Hardison and Maurice Hardison, Maurion was always a gentle, loving and caring person. He attended Norfolk Public Schools and graduated from Lake Taylor High School. He also attended Tidewater Community College. Maurion worked as a Lab Technician at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he was dearly loved by everyone he worked with. Reared to be a God fearing man, Maurion attended Mount Zion Baptist Church in Berkley and later attended First Baptist Church South Hill where he was an active participant of Teens who Love Christ (TLC).
Maurion leaves behind to cherish his life, his wife, Nikkia Smith Hardison; one son, NaMauri Hardison, two bonus children, NaKeisha Smith and NaSean Smith; his father, Maurice Hardison; one brother, Marquise Hardison; four uncles, Hilton Hardison Jr., Eric Hardison, Christopher Hardison and Michael Gaddy; three aunts, Ouida Haynes (Ricky), Alberta Gaddy and Gail Lawrence; a niece, Ka’rea Hardison; a nephew, Kayden “Deuce” Hardison; a loving mother-in-love, Yvette Smith; and a host of cousins and friends. He is pre-deceased by his mother, his papa and maternal grand-mother, William and Violet Gaddy and his paternal grandparents, Hilton Sr. and Marie Hardison.

Maurion was one of the most kind-hearted people I know. I am honored to have met him and worked with him. When I was new to our organization, he helped me tremendously and made it easier to learn do my job. I can not say enough positive things about him. He will be missed.
