Maude S. Lee transitioned from this earthly life to be eternally present with the Lord on Friday, June 28, 2019. Maude was born in Severn, North Carolina on March 1, 1932 to the late McKinley and Addie Stephenson. She was educated in the Northampton County School System, NC.
At the age of twenty-three, she married the love of her life, Raymond Wallace Lee, Sr. In 1958, she relocated to Norfolk, VA with her husband and two children to embark upon a life of new opportunities. Maude was employed over 20 years in the Healthcare Industry and retired from Norfolk General Hospital as a cook. She was a God-fearing woman who was an active member of Macedonia United Christian Church, Norfolk, where she served in the Senior Choir until her health began to fail. Her family’s hearts are heavy with sadness and tears, but our memories are full of the love and support she provided us over the years.
Maude S. Lee was predeceased by her beloved husband of 42 years, Raymond Wallace Lee, Sr., her parents, McKinley and Addie Stephenson; brothers, McKinley Stephenson and Edward Stephenson; sisters, Elizabeth Harris and Lois Monger; one son-in–law, ten brothers–in–law, six sisters-in-law.
Maude S. Lee leaves to cherish her loving memories, five children; Etta Stephenson, Raymond Lee Jr. (Norma), Clementine Johnson (Bernard), Joyce Lee–Kearney (Irvin), and Susie Wade (Erwin), brothers; Floyd Stephenson, Theodore Stephenson (Mae Lois) and Robert Stephenson (Mary), sister, Hilda West, sister-in-law, Rassie West, ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, two greatgreat, grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Growing up, Mrs. Lee was often a familiar presence in our family and at our home. I will be forever grateful for those delicious Bisquick homemade biscuits she would make.
My family and I will keep the Lee family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
