Mary graced the world with her presence for 93 wonderful years. She was chosen to be with the Lord on 6/7/19 at 7:19pm in Virginia Beach. She was born in Braddock, PA and graduated from Braddock High School.
She raised six beautiful daughters in Irvington, NJ. She worked for the U.S. government for over 30 years. She was an active member of Trinity & St. Philip’s Cathedral, Newark, New Jersey for many years.
Mary Rose was witty and feisty, yet kind and classy. She was well respected and loved by all. She will be truly missed by her family that she leaves behind to carry on her legacy. She will forever be the Matriarch of the Johnson Family.
She is survived by six loving daughters:Pamela Gardner, Candace McGirt (Thomas), Roxanne Thomas, (Clancy), Valerie Wright, Veronica Johnson, Jennifer Jean-Louis (Davis) ten grandchildren: Angela, Alan, T.J. Michael, Erica, Janay, Courtney, Justin#1, Justin#2, Jordan. eight great grandchildren: Amaya, Jaden, Timothy, Amaya, Karah, A.J., Zackary, and Baby Ermias (On the Way).
Her strength and fighter mentality is instilled in all of us, and has left a mark on our hearts. Her angelic spirit lives on and will flow through every vein and soul she has ever touched. She will forever be our Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother and friend.
Our Angels’ soul has risen to be with God now. She is no longer suffering and we are all at peace. From this day forward may God continue to heal and protect the Johnson Family.
In the words of Mary Rose ….”OK…What’s Next”
We Love You Mommy/Nannie. Rest In Peace
