Our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Mary Emma Williams-Wood, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February
3, 2020. She was born in Snow Hill, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late John Williams and Emma Braswell-Williams. She relocated to Norfolk, Virginia, and married her late husband Charlie Wood.Mary Wood was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was the rock of her family. Mary worked diligently to provide for her family. She worked many jobs. She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Wood.
Mary is survived by her children, Debbie Williams, Mary Wood, Sandra Wood, and Donald Wood (Clara); Mary also leaves to
cherish her memory grandchildren, Patrick Wood, Damien Wood, Kesha Fauntleroy, Deon Jacobs, Marcus Fauntleroy, Corey Jacob, and Lewann Pace; great-grandchildren Daevon Brown, Lex, Kenzie, Naya, Zara , and six others. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and a special great- granddaughter, Mia.
