Marvin Thomas Pridgen, 59, passed from living into Life Eternal on January 14, 2019. On January 10, 1981, he married the late Frederica Bennett Pridgen and from this union had three sons. Both Marvin and Frederica were faithful members of Rock Church of Virginia Beach, Va. He retired from the United States Navy after serving 20 years of faithful service. He then served 16 years at the Newport News Shipbuilding as an electrician. His interests included bowling, fishing, playing tennis, bodybuilding, karate, chess, and inquiring about all of his grand kids and making sure they had good grades. His spirit, smile, sense of humor and his infectious sense of noble character will be missed by all. He is survived by three sons; Terrell Jefferson Pridgen Sr., Brian Darius Pridgen (Susan) and Daryl Lamar Pridgen, brothers; Donald Pridgen (Lessie), Johnnie Pridgen (Sheila), Stanley Pridgen (Sheller), sisters; Angela Pridgen Adams (Vernon), Mary Delores Thorton (Larry), grandsons; Terrell Jr., Gabriel, Michael, Israel, and granddaughter Leila. Also left to cherish his memory are special family members Gwendolyn Pridgen, Tammy Wiley, and Chasity Billingsley.
