Marvin Lamar Hatcher

Sunrise: March 6, 1986

Sunset: September 24, 2024

Marvin Lamar Hatcher was born on March 6, 1986, in Norfolk, VA. He was the beloved son of Marvin Kellem; of whom he preceded in death and Alicia Hatcher. He was also the loving eldest sibling to two sisters- Almalicia (Katie) Hatcher of Suffolk, VA and Domshanika (Renee) Hatcher of Hackensack, NJ.

Marvin’s life was unexpectedly taken from us on September 24, 2024.

Marvin was a devoted father to his only daughter, Charity Destiny Hatcher- whom he shared with his companion, Faith Jones. He also had the joy of being an uncle to three nieces and one nephew; Ariyanna, Mahlayah, Reniyah, and Marq Jr., respectively.

During his younger years, Marvin was educated in the Norfolk, VA Public Schools system. A few years later, he graduated out of state for Auto Mechanics. To follow, he mastered other skills such as brick-laying and later became an Electrician.

Outside of his professional life, Marvin enjoyed watching football and spending quality time with his loved ones, whether it was a fun fulfilled family gathering or a quiet evening at home. He was often known for his hard work, dedication, and kindness towards his colleagues and protection for his family. He had a wonderful sense of humor like his parents and was often known to be the life of the party with his energetic personality.

He leaves to cherish a variety of aunts, uncles, cousins, and close childhood friends.

He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His warm compassionate spirit will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. May his short-lived life rest in peace.
