Marlene Bray was born on August 20, 1957 to Odessa Hall and Alfred Washington in Norfolk Virginia. She attended Maury High School and was a member of Better Life Ministries on Atlantic Ave in Chesapeake Virginia. She was a very giving and free spirited woman who didn’t hold in her thoughts. She expressed herself gracefully and embraced all that came into her presence. She loved cooking and was known to put together a mouth watering plate. She would always call family to tell them that she cooked and they would come swarming to her house hopeful to get a plate of her collard greens. Marlene was a very loving woman and would do anything in her power to see anyone close to her happy. Marlene was deeply loved and her beautiful smile will be missed by family members and friends all across the United States.

Marlene passed away peacefully at her home on May 8, 2023.
